Paradoxes of Neoliberalism and the Tasks of Critical Theory.

An essay is presented which examines professor Axel Honneth and critical theorist Nancy Fraser's stand on the inconsistencies of neoliberalism. The author argues that the constraints of neoliberalism bring into focus the structural challenge of immanent critique within Critical Theory's second and third generations. He also maintains that normative ambivalence within neoliberalism calls for a shift in the way that critical and justificatory practices are understood within the Frankfurt School.
