Lockheed Martin develops innovative desalination membrane.

The article presents information on the aerospace firm Lockheed Martin, which has developed the Perforene desalination membrane that can convert seawater into fresh water. The Perforene desalination membrane is made up of thin sheets of graphene, which allows water molecules to pass through the membrane easily, and dissolved salts are unable to pass through because of the carbon web, which captures sodium, chlorine and other ions.
