Abstract: The article focuses on legal issues arising from sharing of cybersecurity threat information between the U.S. federal government and owners and operators of the country's critical infrastructures as of April 17, 2013. Background is presented on the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA). ECPA provisions that may present legal obstacle to sharing cyber threat information among communications service providers or between them and the government are highlighted.
