POLISH PLUMBER'S WIFE IN ENGLAND -- CHANGES IN ATTITUDES OF POLISH WOMEN TOWARDS BRITISH CULTURE.

The author addresses the problem of identity transformation among women who migrated to the UK after 2004. The article contains analyses based on empirical evidence, utilizing the Internet as a research tool, which provided valuable insight in the changes that occurred with respect to self-identity of an individual -- in this particular case, Polish women. The research sheds light on the pace of the internal, socio- and psychological transformations. The changes not only affect identity, but also strongly influence migrants' perception of the surrounding environment.
