Abstract

This article presents a study to determine the role of serum interleukin-6 concentration for oral cavity in case of squamous cell carcinomas. The study employed cohort analysis which employed 237 untreated patients, 104 individuals with oral premalignant lesions and 125 health individuals. The serum concentration was measured by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The study revealed that serum interleukin-6 level was associated with tumor.
