Abstract

The article offers information on the assessment conducted by the European project SeCUring the EU GNSS adoption in the dangeroUs Material transport (SCUTUM) which compares the performances of European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS OS) and EGNOS Data Access Service (EDAS) with global positioning system (GPS)-only. It mentions that accuracy of GPS position is enhanced by EGNOS OS by three meters in road environments. Moreover, EDAS indicates the quality of GPS position data.
