Abstract
- This article focuses on new books related to social problems and reforms as of December 1931, published in the journal "American Economic Review." One of the books discussed by the author "Racial Factors in American Industry," H. Feldman. According to the author, in the book, a national organization for the promotion of cooperative investigations into the problems of human relations, has published another of the studies intended to promote effective social education, especially in dealing with conflicts between persons and groups of different race, religion, class, or nationality. Some of the books enlisted are "The Abolition of Poverty," H.E. Fryberger; "Rural Community Types," by E.T. Hiller; "The Contribution of Sociology to Social Work," by R.M. MacIver; and "Social Work Administration," by E. Street.
