A survey of fuzzy logic in medical and health technology.

This paper describes current state of the art of medical image processing and surgery support system. In it, typical medical image processing processes such as segmentation, registration and enhancement are described as an application of fuzzy logic. Second, orthopedic surgery and surgery support systems are introduced. In it, we meet the fuzzy logic application to ultrasonic system. Third, a bed-side health monitoring system is described. Fuzzy signal processing is employed in this system. Finally, a future direction of medical and health technology are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
