Abstract

We experimentally characterize a plasmonic waveguide and demonstrate its capability of transmitting an optical signal at 49 Gbit/s. The 3.6-mm long gold strip embedded in Cytop polymer exhibits 13.2 dB optical insertion loss. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
