Abstract
- Optical signal transmission is impacted by the inherent nonlinear fiber impairments, like SPM, XPM, and FWM, etc. In this paper, we utilize noniterative and asymmetric split-step Fourier method (SSFM) to illustrate signals degradation over optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) transmissions. BER performance due to reduced coding orthogonality caused by fiber impairments is evaluated over a spectral-amplitude-coding scheme of OCDMA network. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
