Abstract
- This paper describes a novel beam steering concept utilizing Hybrid wideband dielectric resonator antenna having 57% fractional bandwidth at center frequency of 1.6GHz, for L - band applications. The antenna structure consists of rectangular dielectric resonator excited by two vertical strips connected through microstrip lines placed on a Roger RT/Duriod substrate and four parasitic elements used to achieve beam steering in azimuth plane. The structure is optimized using Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). The antenna configuration along with simulation results is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
