Abstract
- A pair of small and low-profile orthogonal dual-polarization combined antenna has been proposed for miniature indoor Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) base station to restrain spatial correlation in Line-Of-Sight (LOS) channel environment. A disk loaded monopole antenna is used for vertical polarization component and a notch array antenna with parasitic elements for horizontal polarization component. Both of the component elements operate at the 2 GHz band of IMT-2000, 1.94 ∼ 1.96 GHz for uplink and 2.13 ∼ 2.15 GHz for downlink. The combined antenna has a high ports isolation that is more than 18dB. Both of the component antennas have omni-directional radiation patterns in horizontal plane. The antennas have been designed to a compact and low-profile structure. The space volume is about W94.5 × H79.5 × D12 mm (reflector board not included). [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
