Abstract
- Electromagnetic(EM) field propagating in the earth may approximate diffusion and wave propagation in geophysical application, the response of EM usually only consider one and neglect another one. If survey frequency is high frequency phase and earth is resistivity, in this special case diffusion and wave propagation are both significant to EM response and neglecting any one will result i n error. The response of horizontal electric dipole considering diffusion and wave propagation is calculated and inversed with synthetic data by Occam method. The results of inversion suggested that EM response of ground penetrating radar(GPR) wave with frequency range from 1MHz to 1GHz can derive the structure of earth by magnitude inversion of EM component.
