Abstract
- In this paper, we proposed a metamaterial with new single-sided Fork-shaped resonators. To verify and measure the left-handed properties, we conducted both simulations and experimental tests. With software Ansoft HFSS, we simulated the properties of the proposed metamaterial and obtained the scattering parameters (S-parameters), which illustrates that the new metamaterial exhibits left-handed property within certain frequency ranges. Then we obtain the magnitude of S21 parameter from experiment, which verified the existence of left-handed transmission peak and agreed with the simulation curve well. In addition, we studied how the scale of the unit cell of the metamaterial affected the left-handed frequency band. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
