Abstract
- The article discusses research being done on emergency presentation of colorectal cancer (CRC). It references the study "Preoperative Drainage Using a Transanal Tube Enables Elective Laparoscopic Colectomy for Obstructive Distal Colorectal Cancer," by T. Yamada, T. Shimura, E. Sakamoto et al. published in the 2013 issue of "Endoscopy." The researchers explored the use of the Dennis colorectal tube as an alternative to self-expanding metal stents (SEMS) decompression in colon cancer.
