Abstract

The article discusses the benefits gained by pig producers Maurice O'Brien and Eugene Sheehan in using swine influenza vaccine in County Cork, Ireland in 2011. It mentions that O'Brien determined to implement a vaccination program in controlling the spread of swine influenza in their units, after reading the benefits to control swine influenza. According to Sheehan, they sell about 20 pigs per week more than they sell two years ago since they introduced the swine influenza vaccine.
