Abstract
- The article focuses on the liquidated damages clauses presented by different Athletic conferences in the U.S. and further evaluating their legal enforceability. It presents several court cases in this approach including Vanderbilt University v. DiNardo, Lake River Corporation v. Carborundum Company, and Lawyers Ins. Corporation v. Dearborn Title Corporation. It suggests judicial scrutiny through lawsuits that will help athletic conferences interest when a university or colleges leave.
