Development status and outlook of natural gas analysis and measurement technology in China.

In the field of analysis and measurement of natural gas, China has established a series of technologies acting on international convention. The article summarizes the detection technologies including sampling of natural gas, composition analysis, detection of sulfide content, determination of water/hydrocarbon dew point, solid particulate matter, other hazardous and noxious substances, property parameter calculation, and preparation of reference material. Quality assurance to analysis result was also put forward from the aspects of proficiency test in laboratory as well as analysis comparison. With rapid development of natural gas industry and increasing international trade of natural gas, new demand was raised in analyzing and measuring natural gas.
