Abstract

In this article, the author discusses the market of mints and gums in Great Britain. According to him, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. continues to win the mints and gums category with more than nine pounds out of every 10 pounds spent on gum in-store spent on a product of the company. According to Adrian Toomey, senior brand manager at Wrigley, the category of mints and gums is a must-stock for the independent retailers and should be positioned at the till-point to get maximum sales benefit.
