Clinical and Economic Utility of a New Noninvasive Prenatal Test Using Massively Parallel Sequencing.

The article reports development of prenatal tests for women and recommends that all pregnant women must be offered this examination before 20 weeks' gestation. The currently available test uses plasma to discover any anomalies namely, Trisomy 21, 13, and 13 related to fetal chromosome by means of parallel sequencing. With the aim of having a highly sensitive noninvasive diagnostic test for fetal aneuploidy, the test delivers favorable results.
