The study of tsunami source reconstruction problem.

The work is focused on the study of the tsunami source reconstruction problem based on the wave level observations. The problem within the linear shallow water model and the 'piston' model of tsunami wave generation is considered. This problem relates to the class of incorrectly posed problems, its study is based on the general approach described in [2]. In this paper a theorem on the solvability of the problem is proved and the results of numerical experiments for the Pacific Ocean confirming the efficiency of the proposed solution algorithms are presented.
