Abstract
- This paper describes the development and performance of a 2 by 4 element suspended microstrip patch antenna array with linear polarization. The proposed structure with a new geometrical composition of entire array possesses the advantages of being wide bandwidth, high gain, precise side lobe level control and low cross-polarization level. The measured antenna has the peak gain 14.12 dBi and the cross-polarization is lower than −16 dBi within the impedance bandwidth. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
