A Guidance Model for Software Engineering Curricular Design.

Capability Maturity Model (CMM) can be applied in software industry as process improvement tool to improve design process as well as product quality. Likewise, CMM is also used to perform similar functions in education sector. This paper presents in particular the proposed maturity model to guide curriculum designers in a specific domain, which is software engineering curricular in Institution of Higher Learning in Malaysia. The proposed model serves as a guidance model specifically aimed at guiding the IT curriculum designers to design quality curriculum according to programme specification.
