Abstract
- The article discusses the New York court case People v. Devone which explores the use of a canine by police officers to sniff for drugs. The court's analysis was noticeably different from the approach conducted by the U.S. Supreme court on police using canines for sniffing in detecting drugs. Meanwhile, the increased use of canines could trigger the constitutional boundaries of the near decision of the case that could lead to a more workable definition of founded suspicion.
