Abstract
- The article reports that motorists are demanding action due to rise in bans for poor eyesight. In 2011, about 5,285 car and motorcycle licences were revoked due to poor eyesight. A driver need to be able to read a car registration plate from 20 metres away. The British Government has said that it will not introduce mandatory eye examinations for drivers.
