Abstract
- The article presents a study which investigates the activation of CD4+ T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells (DC) in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients treated with glatiramer acetate (GA). The cross-sectional study used flow cytometry to assess the activation of CD4+ T cells, monocytes and DC of 39 untreated and 29 GA-treated MS patients in relation to disease activity. Results showed that prominent changes in circulating antigen-presenting cells and CD4+ T cells in MS patients treated with GA.
