Abstract: A country report for Czech Republic as of February 2013 is presented. A newly established liberal-democratic faction supports the Czech coalition government. It notes the impact of austerity measures on the government's popularity. During the 2013-17 forecast period, budget deficit is expected to decline gradually with public debt projected at 43% of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2017. The average GDP growth during the forecast period is 2.3%.
