Abstract

The article presents the author's views on the benefits and limits of redundancy in deployment systems of model rockets. He defines redundancy which is the use of more devices to perform a task than what is necessary to ensure that the system will continue operating even if one of the devices fail. He comments that redundancy makes the system more reliable, however redundancy also increases the chance of early firing.
