In this article, the author reflects on philosopher John Finnis's ideas and works on ethics and moral absolutes. She believes that Finnis's work is mostly in practical philosophy including human good and practical reasonableness. Also discussed are views of philosophers David Hume and Immanuel Kant on general skepticism about inductive inference.
