Abstract
- The article informs that Alberta is free from Dutch Elm Disease (DED) which is widely spread across North America. It states that DED is caused by the Ophiostoma ulmi which affect elm trees through insect vectors. It further states that the Society to Prevent Dutch Elm Disease (STOPDED) is responsible for monitoring the entry of beetles in Alberta region and they are successful in making Alberta free from DED.
