TAIWAN'S 2010 METROPOLITAN CITY ELECTIONS: AN ASSESSMENT OF TAIWAN'S POLITICS AND A PREDICTOR OF FUTURE ELECTIONS.

The 2010 issue of the journal "Maryland Series in Contemporary Asian Studies," Number 4, is presented. It evaluates the metropolitan city elections in Taiwan in 2010. The election campaigns in the country are discussed as well as the strategies of various political parties and candidates. It also tackles the uses of the pendulum theory and the watermelon theory in forecasting the results of elections in Taiwan.
