Abstract: The article offers information about a research related to determination of the prevalence of human papillomavirus (HPV) types among females in the Molise region in Italy. It mentions that cytologic screening of cervico-vaginal swab specimens was analyzed for HPV detection and typing. The results indicated that several HPV-types are involved in cervical lesions.
