The author discusses collaborations that resulted from partnerships among units in the Halle Library at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) and how those collaborations transformed the perception of roles by librarians and user experience. Suzanne Gray and Sarah Fabian proposed the Academic Projects Center (APC) based on the belief that a cohesive effort and a single service point would better support student success. An overview of The Collaboratory (TLC), a multipurpose space, is given.
