Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the biogeochemical and dynamical control on ocean carbon fluxes decadal variability. The study involves the use of a 1000-year long preindustrial simulation with the Earth 10 System Model IPSL-CM5A-LR to analyze the internal variability of ocean carbon fluxes. It reveals that low-frequency oscillations exhibited by the ocean carbon fluxes that emerge from annual variability in North Pacific, Southern Ocean, and North Atlantic.
