Abstract
- The article discusses a court case on the non-renewal of a scholarship in case a student athlete got injured. The plaintiffs for the case were students at Rice University and the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University who were student athletes but were not renewed of their scholarships because of an injury. The student athletes sued the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for violating the antitrust law wherein the U.S. District Court of Indiana upheld the decision.
