Public opinion polling in China: A descriptive review.

Abstract
- The article focuses on a descriptive review related to public opinion canvassing in China. It states that Chinese polling applied a panel discussion approach which is developed by Mao Ze-dong, founding father of People's Republic of China. It mentions that he called panel discussion his conversation with the various people in the heartland of the mountain villages. It adds that it has become the dominant paradigm in China for social studies after the victory of the civil war in 1949. Moreover, Chinese opinion polls concentrates on public attitudes towards national scheme and current policies established by the Party and the government.
