Abstract
- The article looks into five information technology (IT) projects of Indian Railways (IR) with the help of the Center for Railway Information Service (CRIS). The author mentions that IR's unreserved ticketing system (UTS) is providing a computerized ticketing system, which has been migrated to a high-end virtualized setup. The author adds that the Software Aided Train Scheduling and Network Governance (SATSaNG) project aims to build a tool for efficient scheduling.
