Feasibility analysis of the process of the rotary combing machine.

Aiming to a foreign published patent of the rotary combing machine transferring and combing fiber with double drums, The patent claims that its productivity can reach 2 000 times/min. First, a demonstration for the feasibility of feeding device is presented in this paper. It is stated that it can not comb out hinters. According to the parameters in the published patent, and taking the Drum diameter D = 0.3 m for example, a demonstration for the feasibility of the rotary combing machine based on design requirement, operating principle, mechanism parameters, time for fiber connection, fiber connection process and nipper actuating device is presented in this paper. It is stated that the combing function cannot be achieved by the technology mentioned in the published patent and the feasibility of the rotary combing machine is unlikely. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
