On the Marginalization of Beijing No. 798 Art Zone under the Background of Tourism Development: An Explanation.

So far as the vigorous development of art zones in China is concerned, it is right time to summarize the social problems and potential contradictions during its booming growth, which will become a prerequisite for formulating rational social policies. The paper, with Beijing No. 798 Art Zone as a case study, especially considering the encounter of workers in the process of tourism commercialization, analyzes the "marginalization" they meet with in many aspects including their activity space, profit distribution, cultural identity and decision-making participation.
