Abstract: The article reports on the increasing prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in Trinidad and Tobago. To address the problem, the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association, in association with the Trinidad and Tobago Health Science Initiative and Johns Hopkins Medicine, sponsored a symposium on September 13, 2009. Highlights of the symposium are also provided.
