Abstract

The article's author suggests that the U.S. Republican party will react to the reelection of U.S. President Barack Obama in 2012 by increasing its losing strategy of promoting very Conservative candidates over more electable moderate ones. Topics include how working with Democratic Obama on immigration reform could earn the Republicans more support from Latino voters; Republican views on climate change, job creation, and debt reduction; and the increasing voter support for same-sex marriage and clean energy, both of which the Republican party disagree with.
