The environments of adolescence (A Viewpoint).

This paper describes some of the two-way relationships between the three orders of environments; the physical, the human and the communicative, and adolescence. These interactions are discussed in terms of existing conditions, changes, rates of change and problems. Any study, but especially one of an age group which holds the immediate future of mankind in its hands, requires and elucidation of its value basis. One hopes that transdisciplinary endeavours such as this, will help bridge the yawning credibility gap opened up between psychiatry's recent promise and its latest disappointments..
