Abstract

The article emphasizes the importance of infusing creativity and curiosity into medical education at McMaster University, which the author believes would be best in enhancing a competence-driven curriculum. As one of those who developed the COMPASS Curriculum for medical education at McMaster, he asserts that medical graduates needs to operationalize creativity and curiosity at the course level while maintaining competence. He suggests that students should take courses based on interest.
