Abstract
- The authors discuss gut microbiota's causative role in the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The authors explore several observations suggesting microbiota's potential role in the developmen of NAFLD. Meanwhile, the authors suggest that promising therapeutic agents may be represented by probiotic impact on gut flora in connection to tolerability for reverting liver damage related to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
