Abstract
- End-to-end traffic delay control within actual communication networks represents a very important goal for an administrator, due to the direct influence on service quality of service level, which is delivered to users. The difficulty of a maximal end-to-end delay prediction is related especially to the random traffic behaviour within waiting queues belonging to network nodes. The aim of this paper is to present a delay control proposal for the data traffic within a queue wherein is activated a weighted random early detection (WRED) congestion avoidance mechanism.
