Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the size stability of prosthesis. The study uses retrospective chart review on individuals who had undergone tracheoesophageal puncture and laryngectomy, data reviewed includes demographic variables. Results show that 90% of patients required change in prosthesis size after 3 months of healing and supports the need for continuous reassessment of fistula tract.
