Abstract
- An essay is presented on the American narrative or the identity myth. It cites as an example the American children who were inspired to believe in what the blue, red and white of the American flag stood for naively accepting that America is exceptional despite the Great Depression. The author sees that the emergence of industrial mega corporations has recreated the country's ideologies through its unyielding corporate energies.
