Abstract: The article reports on a notice of proposed rule issued by the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) seeking comments regarding the amendment of the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for the Reef fish resources of the Gulf of Mexico. It mentions that the amendment is related to shallow-water grouper species including gag, red grouper and black grouper. It also states that the comments regarding the same must be submitted to NMFS by November 19, 2012.
