Abstract

The article offers information on the signing of a treaty between China and U.S. that would substantially open up the Chinese film market. It informs that the number of films imported into China had an annual capacity of 20. Under the terms of the treaty, 3D and IMAX films will be accessible to the Chinese audience more easily, as they can be fulfilled as one of the 14 newly added quotas to the capacity of imported films. It adds that this act will be helpful in discouraging piracy.
