Abstract
- The complex [N(CH<subscript>3</subscript>)<subscript>4</subscript>]<subscript>3</subscript>[Mn<subscript>3</subscript>Zn<subscript>2</subscript>(3,5-dibromosalox)<subscript>3</subscript>O(N<subscript>3</subscript>)<subscript>6</subscript>Cl<subscript>2</subscript>] has been synthesised and characterised. It crystallises as two independent molecules and exhibits a planar [Mn<superscript>III</superscript><subscript>3</subscript>-(μ<subscript>3</subscript>-oxo)] core as well as μ<subscript>2</subscript>-η<subscript>1</subscript>:η<subscript>1</subscript>-azide bridging geometry. DNA binding studies show that the complex binds with DNA through intercalation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
